A boy of 15 has been caught and questioned on suspicions of being the mastermind at the rear of the TalkTalk data fraud cyber attack.

A group from Scotland Yard’s Cyber Crime Unit joined Police force Service of Northern Ireland officers as they raided the actual teenager’s home in Region Antrim. The boy has been arrested on suspicion involving Computer Misuse Act accidents and taken to a nearby police station.

The Attained said the property was being looked and inquiries by CCU detectives, the PSNI’s Cyber Crime Centre and the Nationwide Crime Agency are continuous.

A spokesman said upon Monday night: “A police arrest has been made in connection with the analysis into alleged data fraud from the TalkTalk website. In approximately 4. 20 pm, police officers from the Police Service involving Northern Ireland (PSNI), working together with detectives from the Metropolitan Police force Cyber Crime Unit, carried out a search warrant at the street address in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
